Hameetman Center - Patio

USAGE AND RESERVATIONS

The Hameetman Center Patio is the communal space surrounding the new Hameetman Center, designed as the campus gathering hub. The inviting space is accommodating of events geared to the campus community. Please review the Hameetman Center Policies, http://hameetmancenter.caltech.edu/hameetman-building-policy, so that you are aware of additional usage policies not detailed on this web page.

Reservations will be extended to students one year in advance and all others up to six months in advance with the understanding that a student event may be accommodated first if a conflict arises. In submitting your reservation request, please include the Hameetman Center Patio diagram noting where you will setup. All requests are subject to approval by Caltech Dining Services (CDS); confirmations will be emailed.

Events with hot food served over warming fuel or 50+ guests will require submission of a Special Events Permit application with the City of Pasadena.

CATERING, SETUP, AND CLEANUP

All served food and beverage must be provided by Caltech Dining Services (CDS) Catering.

There is no outside food permitted. All setup needs require the approval of CDS Catering before your requesting from Caltech Facilities, Facilities Service Requests | Facilities (caltech.edu) . Facilities is generally able to provide 6' folding tables, folding chairs, and trash cans. Any additional rentals must be coordinated through CDS Catering.

Event cleanup and trash removal must be provided by Caltech Facilities promptly upon guest exit. The Patio should be immediately returned to the condition received upon event conclusion. You may be asked to supply CDS with a Caltech Facilities work order confirmation.

FACILITY ACCESS

CDS will notify Caltech Security of your use of the Patio. Public restrooms are available inside the Hameetman Center during open hours.
