Hameetman Center - Caltech Store Lobby

The Caltech Store Lobby is approximately 800 square feet and is located on the first floor of the Hameetman Center, sharing a glass wall with the Caltech Store. There are existing round tables with chairs to seat approximately 12. The open space is best suited for small, communal meetings and study group. Events and meetings should not require exclusivity or privacy. The lobby adjacent to the Red Door Marketplace may not be reserved.

The Hameetman Center is the campus hub and dedicated to student interaction. Events held at the Caltech Store Lobby may not disrupt the larger Red Door Marketplace Lobby that is open to the community. Reservations will be extended to students up to one year in advance and to all others up to six months in advance, with the understanding that a student event may be accommodated first if a conflict arises. All requests are subject to approval by Caltech Dining Services (CDS); confirmations will be emailed.

CATERING, SETUP, AND CLEANUP

All served food and beverage must be provided by Caltech Dining Services (CDS) Catering. There is no outside food permitted. All setup needs will require the approval of CDS Catering.

Event cleanup and trash removal must be provided by Caltech Facilities, promptly upon guest exit. The facility should be immediately returned to the condition received upon event conclusion. You may be asked to supply CDS with a Caltech Facilities work order confirmation.

The Caltech Store Lobby is available from 7 AM – 10 PM.
